The Syracuse Mets (55-55) had “swept’ the Pawtucket Red Sox (Triple-A, Red Sox) in a rare two-game set. They are now back to .500 after splitting a series against the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A New York Yankees).
Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Double-A):
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies (56-52) had lost to the Erie SeaWolves (Double-A, Detroit Tigers) 5-1 in the last game of the series, losing 3 out of 4. They now will travel to Akron to take on the RubberDucks (Double-A Orioles).
St. Lucie Mets (Class-A Advanced):
The St. Lucie Mets (59-49) were in position to sweep the Palm Beach Cardinals (Class-A Advanced, St. Louis Cardinals) until the weather came into play. The game was suspended after five innings of play, with the game tied one to one.
Columbia Fireflies (Class-A):
The Columbia Fireflies (40-65) had their game against the Kannapolis Intimidators (Class-A, Chicago White Sox) called early from rain. The game was tied 3-3 in the third inning when the weather started. Continued tomorrow.
Brooklyn Cyclones (Short-Season Class-A):
The Brooklyn Cyclones (26-19) had won the final game in a four-game series 6-1 against the Lowell Spinners (Short-Season Class-A, Boston Red Sox), and will travel to Williamsport for the Crosscuters (Class-A, Philadelphia Phillies).
DSL 2 (Rookie):
DSL 1 and GCL 1 were both canceled due to rain.
The New York Mets and all of their affiliates are expected to play tomorrow.
